Volunteer Opportunities

Are you interested in joining the team of Your Options Medical (YOM)? We have a variety of volunteer opportunities for those who would like to share their time and talents.

Clinic Help

Since YOM operates as a medical clinic, volunteers with a medical background are always needed; especially registered nurses, sonographers, doctors specializing in general practice or women’s health, and radiologists.

Patient Advocates

Compassionate and committed women are needed to work in partnership with a nurse to provide life-affirming options counseling, at risk assessment, and support services to patients during and after their pregnancy. This position requires a consistent weekly commitment in one of our offices and/or on the mobile clinic. On site training is required and is provided by trained staff.

Church Liaison

This position requires a willingness to be a voice for the ministry at your local church. Responsibilities include being a point of contact for organizing Baby Bottle Campaigns and/or making your congregation aware of updates, special events, and prayer needs. In general, this position does not require a specific time commitment nor time spent in our offices.

General Help

There are always projects that volunteers can help with from processing baby bottles, organizing clothing donations, assisting with donor mailings, and other administrative tasks. A commitment of 4 hours a week is preferred; however, opportunities exist for “as needed” help.

Prayer Partners

Prayer is vital for this ministry to serve women facing a pregnancy decision. Also, the staff, volunteers, and board members need consistent, fervent prayer in order to battle against the enemy’s plans to “steal, kill, and destroy”(John 10:10). Join our email prayer list to become part of the prayer team.

Mobile Clinic Drivers

The mobile medical clinic is a 31 ft. RV and does not require a special driver’s license. The clinic operates in and around our Sturbridge office location. A driver may also serve in a dual role as a patient advocate (female driver) or as a male mentor to speak with fathers during their visit (male drivers).

Drivers are also needed to assist in moving the mobile clinic between service locations.

Short-Term Specific Projects

Special Event Planning: If you love planning events, working on one of our  annual fundraising special events (dinners, brunches, comedy nights etc) is a perfect opportunity to use your talents for a few weeks and on your own time schedule. This position requires working as part of a team and the ability to complete assignments with a deadline.

Graphic Design: Creating advertising and outreach materials, event invitations, or flyers provides an opportunity to use your creative gifts. This position does require that a volunteer have their own design program or the ability to work in a center using a ministry computer.
